AvaTrade lists mobile, web and MetaTrader options. Compare those choices alongside its overnight and non-use fees. Confirm the account company before applying.

The quick facts
- Platforms: Its South African website lists a mobile app, web trading and MetaTrader 4/5.
- Trading costs: Bid/ask spreads and overnight premiums are described in its fee schedule. Check the instrument’s current quote.
- Non-use fees: The published USD schedule lists $50 after three consecutive months of non-use and each successive three-month inactivity period, and a $100 administration fee after twelve consecutive months of non-use. Applicable law, account terms and currency matter; fees can change.
- Funding: Its payment FAQ lists a $100 card minimum for USD accounts. Confirm your own method and currency; this is not a universal rand minimum.
Which company provides your account?
The South African regulation comparison names Ava Capital Markets Pty in its local contracting-entity column. A separate official help article says registration is with AvaTrade Markets Ltd under BVI regulation. We cannot resolve that discrepancy from these pages alone.
Ask AvaTrade to identify your contracting company, product issuer, complaints process and applicable protections in writing. A group licence or local website address does not establish your individual agreement.
Withdrawals: processing is not arrival
AvaTrade describes one to two working days for processing verified withdrawal requests, with payment and banking delays possible. That is the broker’s published indication, not a timing measured by FXJohn. Its FAQ describes returning deposited funds to the original payment method first. Check the rules for your account before funding.
Sources and verification limits
Checked 8 October 2026: fee schedule; payment FAQ; entity comparison; account-entity help article.
FXJohn’s FSCA search on 7 October 2026 showed Ava Capital Markets (Pty) Ltd, FSP 45984, as Authorised. This does not resolve the applicant’s account company or verify separate offshore permissions. ZAR account availability, your full fee schedule and actual service performance remain unverified. No “best experience” rating or exclusive offer is claimed.
